This is what i have learned from the internet. Other than here on #Rhoid Rage (& recovery) , very few people will come on a forum or subreddit to post about a good or expected experience. Many will post something if they have had a terrible or negative experience.
Honestly I think during covid people went to the internet more then ever and i honestly think its hindered some peoples outlook on life or their situation. For instance, everyone thinks doctors suck and while yes there are some terrible doctors, therapist , psychologists etc, many of those same professionals will be the ones who help you in the end. Yet no body will post about those because they have gotten better? Why linger? Pain and suffering are very closely linked to our psychology.
If you get caught in a forum or subreddit where you are constantly hearing that nothing helps and no one actually gets better well…that might just be what ends up happening. Thanks to all here who share their true stories, especially the good ones I never see elsewhere
